From Calcutta to Toronto

This morning on the CBC, I heard Andy Barrie report that the St. Jamestown neighbourhood in Toronto is the second most densely populated place in the world, outside of Calcutta.

That is an amazing fact. There are many hi-rises there, but I still can't believe it!

that is totally crazy. add to that it's prob way more culturally diverse than calcutta..

I did know that St. Jamestown was the highest density population on the continent, but I didn't realize they came in second in the world! Wow.

Refuted. St. Jamestown has a higher population density than Kolkata as a whole (about twice), but there are some east Asian cities with neighbourhoods with denser populations.
